Today, bright and early, I walked into my Intro to Theology class in a good mood. My professor is amazing; she is passionate about her subject, engages with the class, and keeps Intro to Theology intriguing and exciting to those who think it may be boring (I think it is fascinating).
The main reason I am blogging about Theology class today is that it made me realize how ignorant I am when it comes to all world religion, even my own. The proper definition of the word ignorant is...
Ignorant: lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned. Ex: An ignorant man. (Dictionary.com)
I must say, I thought I knew a lot. However, when it came to a non-graded quiz my professor handed out on the basic fundamentals of the top 5 world religions, I was clearly proven wrong. It is not that I choose to not know about these religions in great detail, I just have never really been exposed to them.
So, with this class, I hope to learn A LOT about all the world religions, and how they relate and differ from one another. Learning about these will make me a stronger, smarter, and a more comprehensive individual. All religions are captivating, and though I have my own beliefs as a Christian, I respect them all.
Ps: this is my 100th post! :)
